Thai Massage (aka: Thai Yoga Massage) was developed in Thailand over 2,000 years ago. It is an ancient energy-based healing system that combines acupressure, reflexology, and assisted yoga postures. Thai Massage focuses on circulation of vital energy in major pathways. Important pressure points along these pathways are stimulated to help break down blockages, fuel energy flow, and restore balance and harmony.
Rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, stretched, and rocked to clear energy blockages and relieve tension. The practitioner uses thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees, and feet to fluidly manipulate the recipient’s muscles. This process opens joints, stretches muscles and tendons, tones internal organs, and balances body energy. The recipient leaves physically relaxed and rejuvenated with improved mental well-being.
